A warning

I really shouldn't have left a draft sketch of today's comic within view of my hamster.  As you can see, he now harbours ambitions of one day becoming a Hamsterpop.  Luckily, as we have already seen this week, the pictured appliance DOES NOT WORK.

Cookie had a lucky escape, but please be vigilant around your own hamsters.

are you sure Cookie is a hamster?
and how can you be sure he's a he?
apparently, sexing (so to speak) the little buggers is an art form in itself, and involves close examination of the undercarraige...
actually, on reflection, i'd rather you didn't explain how you know...
are you also sure he's not a ringer?
a lemming perhaps, with a rather unique twist on how best to end it all and craving to make a name for himself as the first rodent on a stick that someone actually wanted to eat (have to say that hamsterpop did look quite appetizing, were it not for the almost certain hairball that would ensue from a good sucking on one...)?
and, finally, where do you normally keep Cookie to stop him crumbling then, in the microwave?

I can't help but notice the margarine tub in this pic - do the words 'soya' and 'enjoyment' really belong together?

Still enjoying Doormat Picnic; I'm sure I met Necro Phil when I used to go to rock nights with Thom...

ER: You're right, it could just be a hairy carrot.

Gavin: They are synonymous.

I'm amazed your hamster agreed to go anywhere near the fridge, having seen those nightmarish carrot pictures (shudder).

Happy birthday Graham!
